Patsy Dowling, Exec.Dtr. of Mountain Projects, Inc. announced a pro-active community effort that would bring attention to the upcoming heating season in order to make each dollar spent on heating go as far as possible.
The Jackson County Resource Center offiers a Family Caregiver Program for Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain Counties of North Carolina.
The N.C. Breast and Cervical Cancer Control program is available through the Hauwood County Health Department, 2177 Asheville Road, Waynesville.
Quilters sew for Haywood County Nursing Homes and the neonatal unit of the hospital on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, 10 am to 2pm. Please call for more information. 828 926 6003 or 828 926 9177.
